Cattle marts report: Weather change cools trade for store cattle but price fall tempts new set of buyers

Many businesses closed up on Tuesday — although some of the Tuesday marts went ahead as usual, including Kanturk.

I took it easy myself, and went to see the St Patricks Day parade in Macroom.

With cattle marts the furthest thing from my mind, I was pleasantly surprised to see a Cork Marts float meander its way through the thronged main street of Macroom.
