Denis Lehane: Any old rope? The shop has run out

I’m desperately in need of a few bits of old rope, or even a few plastic cable ties. But alas, none can be obtained, high up or low down, says Denis Lehane.

My trouble began last Monday morning when I rounded up the cattle to administer a dose, a concoction to deal with fluke, worms, lice, and whatever else that might be afflicting them.

I’m a mighty man for keeping on top of animal health, regardless of the time of the year, I’ll inoculate all before me.
