Irish beef has been endorsed by Washington-based Irish chef Cathal Armstrong in meals presented to US food buyers and industry leaders.

“I’m delighted to meet leading figures in the Irish community and discuss how we could tap into the significant influence which the community has here in New York in order to spread the message of the quality and taste of Irish beef,” said Mr Coveney.

The trade mission is taking in a series of events in New York, Washington and Boston, including meetings with US Secretary for Agriculture, Tom Vilsack, and Senator Pat Roberts, chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
