Teagasc has appointed Adam Woods as beef systems scientist, based at the Grassland Research and Innovation Centre, Teagasc Grange, Dunsany, Co Meath.

“The low profitability on drystock farms is a challenge and increasing output on these farms with a focus on increased grass production and utilisation is one of my main priorities,” said Adam Woods.

A native of Ballyconnell, Co Cavan, he was previously a beef specialist with Teagasc, managing the Better Farm Beef programme.
