The Charleville Park Hotel in the north Cork town is the venue for an auction of what is described as an “excellent” 67-acre holding by Patrick Carroll of Carroll Auctioneers in Kilmallock.

The residential farm is in the heart of Golden Vale farming country at Sorrell, Ballyhea and the agent says a holding of this size for sale in the area is a rarity: “It’s very rare that a property like this comes on the market around here,” says Mr Carroll. He says a sale of this nature has not been available for about 20 years.

The property is described as “very good land”, with a proven record of production, let for the last 14-15 years, according to the auctioneer.
