Scarcity brings a sellers’ market for sheep farms

Quoted prices for lambs at the factories have advanced to the benchmark of 5/kg this week at a minority of the plants.

This week, most processors continued to quote 495 cents/kg plus the usual bonus payments for quality, with all indications that the market is in a positive mood.

There’s 500 cents/kg plus bonus on offer at one factory, and an all-in 500 cents/kg at another.
