Alltech acquires Improcrop in South Africa amid agronomy field efforts

Alltech Crop Science has acquired Improcrop in South Africa as part of its efforts to develop agronomy fields and groves worldwide.

Improcrop, a long-time distributor for Alltech in South Africa, is now also part of its agronomic and horticultural division.

Founded in 1980 by its Irish-born president Pearse Lyons, Alltech is a privately held, US-based animal health and nutrition company that utilises natural, yeast-based solutions. Its European headquarters is in Dunboyne, Co Meath.
