Artificial insemination firm opens extension to bull stud near Thurles

Artificial insemination firm Dovea Genetics has opened a new extension to the Dovea Genetics Bull Stud near Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Agriculture Minister of State Tom Hayes formally unveiled the stud, which he described as a significant investment by the eight different co-op shareholders in Dovea for the benefit of farmers in the area and the country as a whole.

“The new stud will complement the existing facilities already in place to provide the additional infrastructure needed to scale-up our national breeding programme,” said Mr Hayes.
