ICSA calls on Coveney to make the ongoing beef crisis his first priority

Yesterday’s Cabinet reshuffle has confirmed that Mr Coveney is retaining his position in agriculture, as well as taking on a new defence portfolio. Mr Kent was quick to demand that the minister should make the beef price dispute between farmers and the meat factories his first order of business.
“The minister must also now deal with the fact that more than 10,000 farmers have appealed what they perceive as unjust LPIS penalties,” said Mr Kent.
