Second top award for double clutch technology

Another prestigious agricultural engineering award has gone to the John Deere DirectDrive transmission.

The double clutch technology, which comes from the prestige car industry, combines the operating comfort of stepless transmission with the efficiency of mechanical transmission.

It has been designed for specific tasks and load conditions which require continuous power, such as ploughing and towing, PTO work and road transport. It won the tractors equipment gold medal in the International Machinery Manufacturers Awards at the Cereals 2014 event in England.
