Executives of Chinese Bright Food Group inspect Glanbia’s new facility
Glanbia said this week’s visit is a further progression in the talks between both parties, which began last year with the signing of a non-exclusive memorandum of understanding.
The memorandum is a pre-commercial agreement and it set out the basis for Glanbia and Bright Foods to explore the scope for any joint market opportunities and distribution channels across Glanbia’s global portfolio of products.
The memorandum relates to the breadth of Glanbia’s global product portfolio of ingredient and consumer products.
Glanbia was represented by its consumer products CEO Colin Gordon and senior management, Michael McArdle and Frank Tobin.
The chairman and vice- chairman of Bright Food Group also met Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney and Enterprise Minister Richard Bruton. Since 2008, Glanbia Nutritionals has had a facility in Suzhou.
