McDonald’s picks Waterford meat processor for sustainability award

The Waterford-based meat processor was selected from more than 600 entries. It was recognised in the categories of economics and water use. Dawn has been a supplier to McDonald’s for 25 years.
Dawn Meats chief executive Niall Browne said: “We believe that we have a social and environmental obligation, combined with a business interest, to proactively reduce our emissions, minimise our carbon footprint, conserve natural resources, and ensure sustainable practices in our operations,” he said.
