Record number of Irish seafood firms at global expo in Brussels

A record number of Irish seafood companies are participating at Seafood Expo Global, the world’s largest seafood trade fair, which opened in Brussels yesterday and continues until tomorrow.

Bord Bia is co-ordinating the presence of some 21 firms that will showcase their produce to more than 25,000 buyers and sellers from 145 countries.

The Irish exhibitors represent the spectrum of species available here, including shellfish, whitefish, pelagic, and finfish in a range of formats including live, chilled, canned, frozen, and smoked.
