Growers alerted to possible storage issues

Teagasc potato adviser Shay Phelan has alerted growers to the danger of storage issues — particularly with early lifted crops which were high in dry matter, lifted in very dry conditions straight into boxes.

There is potential in this material for damage through bruising etc.

Proper curing should have solved the problem, but grow-ers should keep an eye on the crop just in case.
