New oral drench controls liver fluke

Ranide, a new oral flukicide for sheep and cattle, has been launched on the Irish market.

Containing rafoxanide (30mg/ml), it is an oral drench that controls immature and mature liver fluke.

The dose rate is 11.25mg/kg (18.75ml/50kg) for cattle, and 7.5mg/kg (2.5ml/10kg) for sheep. Ranide comes in 2.5 and 5-litre flexi-packs.
