Irish animal feed group makes significant export progress in Japan
Keenan’s clients include two of Japan’s leading feed and dairy companies, Marubeni and Morinaga. Keenan took part in last week’s trade mission to Japan, invited by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and led by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney.
Representatives of Marubeni and Morinaga have also visited Ireland. Keenan is actively supporting their customers from the new InTouch Centre in Ireland.
Keenan head nutritionist, Thork Moos, said he has seen excellent results to date with Wagyu beef farms in Japan. The meat from Wagyu cattle (indigenous to Japan), is known for its quality, and commands a high price.
