Lakeland Dairies names former De Beers director to spearhead growth

Cross-border dairy co-op Lakeland Dairies has appointed ex-De Beers HR director Tadhg O’Halloran as head of group human resources as part of its strategic post-2015 growth plans.

He will lead the processing co-operative’s group HR function and support its business development strategy in line with organisational growth targets. He will also spearhead the co-op’s graduate programme, which targets specialist disciplines including those earmarked for growth following the abolition of EU quotas in 2015.

Mr O’Halloran said: “I look forward to working closely with the chief executive, my management colleagues and all staff to further strengthen the human resources and organisational capacity of Lakeland Dairies as it enters the expansionary new period of dairy industry growth which will create many positive new opportunities for the co-operative and its producers in the future.”
