Open to all private forest owners and free for IFA Farm Forestry members, the ‘Business of Forestry’ conference takes place in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone. Private forest owners will learn how to improve the management of their forests to maximise the economic return from thinning operations.

“It is important to have some basic knowledge of the timber sales process and markets, even if you are employing a forester to manage the operation,” said a spokesperson for IFA Farm Forestry.
