Big interest likely in sale of 33 acres in north Cork

“It grew a crop of wheat last year”, is John O’Connell's commendation of a 33-acre farm of land on the edge of Mallow town in north Cork.

The auctioneer is selling the land by private treaty and says it’s top quality tillage ground and quotes a guide of €400,000 for the entire, the equivalent of just over €12,000 per acre.

And parts of the Ballyellis land adjoin three holes of Mallow Golf course, so there could be outside interest in the farm too. In one block, with good road frontage, the property is just on the market and O’Connell expects good interest as the market in his area is strong at the moment, he says, with a number of sales over the line recently.
