Cheese award for Dairygold Leeds outfit
CEO Jim Woulfe said: “Our success at the British Cheese Awards testifies to the excellent quality natural soft cheese ingredients that DFI Leeds produce for the food manufacturing and food service sectors with the high quality that our customers have come to expect from Dairygold’s tradition of excellence.”
It was the co-op’s American Style Soft Cheese that won the big award.
Entries in the awards included over 221 raw milk cheeses, 117 organic, 83 blue and nearly 200 unique goat and ewe’s milk cheeses.

Cheddar and Chocolate from Old Irish Creamery, Co Limerick.

Clonmore goat’s cheese from Clonmore, Co Cork
Ardrahan Reduced Fat from the Ardrahan Cheese Co, Co Cork
Goats Boilie from Fivemiletown Creamery, Co Tyrone
Ardrahan cheese from the Ardrahan Cheese Co, Co Cork
Durrus cheese from Durrus Farmhouse Cheese, Co Cork
Killeen Goat cheese from Killeen Farmhouse Cheese, Co Galway.
