Stockperson title up for grabs at Cappamore
Show secretary Paddy Ryan said: “Cappamore has always presented some of the best show classes in the country, with top breeders competing for the awards, and we are absolutely delighted to be hosting the Limousin international finals at the show this year”.
Five teams of four will represent Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales in the stockperson final, in which they rank Limousin animals and explain their stockjudging decisions to the competition judges.
A total of 33 trophies will be awarded in 93 cattle classes at the show, which is held at Portnard, three miles from the East Limerick town.
There are 27 trophies for pony and horse exhibitors, and more than 20 for other classes from home cooking to sheaf throwing.
