10-acre field is a real beauty

On a stunning summer’s day last week, Tom Spillane was overwhelmed by the beauty of this 10-acre field at Coolmagort, Dunloe and that’s despite seeing it every day.
The Kerryman waxed lyrical on the beauty of the location, which basked in sunshine without the usual low hanging cloud:
“I’m looking at the Gap of Dunloe and have Dunloe Castle in front of me and it’s a stunning piece of land — the best small holding I’ve seen — it’s a field, a beautiful field, all in green and not a bit of waste.”
Stopping to catch breath, he suggested that the property could make a site for a local buyer, or would be snapped up fairly handily by local farmers. Last time round, land here made up to €20K an acre, he says, although he quotes €10k now. With a long stone wall to the road and excellent road frontage, the field is lined with oak trees and has potential for an exclusive residence, he says.
The sale is by private treaty, and Tom Spillane is open to offers.
