Next month’s launch of the Irish Sport Horse Young Breeders Programme will feature interactive discussion with programme trainers such as Philip Scott, Tiernan Gill, Maurice Coleman, Andrew Hughes, Clement McMahon, Jack Doyle, and Cmdt John Ledingham.

In its seventh year, the joint venture with Teagasc and Horse Sport Ireland is aimed at those aged 14-25 who are interested in “assessing, exhibiting, and breeding performance horses”.

The launch will take place at Teagasc, Dunsany, Co Meath, at 2pm on Sunday, Dec 9. Attendance at the launch can be pre-booked with Wendy Conlon (087-9879083, wendy.conlon@teagasc.ie). Entry costs €10, payable on the day, with group discounts for pony clubs, schools, colleges, and so on.
