Munster sport horse breeders scoop major awards at RDS

A string of top awards at last week’s Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show pointed to a revival of sport horse breeding in Munster.

About a dozen of the top awards came to the province, with owners from Cos Clare, Cork, Limerick and Tipperary doing well.

However, Sugar Bob took the Best Hunter in the Show honours for owner Philomena Bradley, Kells, Co Meath, and the Michael W Hickey Trophy for rider Claire McMahon.
