Herds in good hands with young members

The enthusiasm of young members was celebrated, when the Cork Holstein Friesian Club took a break from the bad weather for their annual summer barbecue and herds competition prize-giving in Kinsale.

Youngsters were singled out by herds competition judges for their role in the top herds.

Sean McSweeney judged the development section, Peter Kennelly of Kerry judged the intermediate, while Victor Jackson from Wicklow judged the senior and premier sections in the competition, which is sponsored by Macroom Mills.
