Irish launch for peaceful feeding system products

Equipment developed in Holland to boost yields by giving cows peace and quiet at feeding time is being launched at next week’s Balmoral Show in Belfast.

Specialising in electronically-controlled in-parlour and out-of-parlour feeding systems, Hanskamp AgroTech has three new products on display for the first time in Ireland.

An L-shaped closing gate is designed to fit all house types and feeding stations. It shuts quietly down behind a cow once feed is in the trough. This stops dominant cows bullying shy feeders and heifers at the risk of stress, lost yield and injury.
