Dairy sector needs supply or demand event booster

A significant event, such as a supply shock or a demand boost, is needed to prevent further weakness in the dairy market, according to sources at Glanbia.

They said markets have softened due to milk output increases.

In January, milk output was 3.8% up in Australia, 8.3% up in New Zealand, and 3.4% up in the US, compared to 2011.
