Test time for tractors

Final arrangements for registration of agricultural machinery have come into force.

Test time for tractors

Tractors that cannot be registered online will require inspection at selected National Car Testing Service (NCTS) centres. This includes used imports, and new brands that do not have an online registration system.

Tractors brought to an NCTS centre on a lorry do not have to be unloaded.

Physical inspection will not be required for used out-sized equipment, such as self-propelled harvesters. It is now possible for sellers to carry out a pre-registration. After going through the registration process, the vehicle is listed on the www.revenue.ie ROS website, and the registration can be subsequently completed online when the vehicle is sold.
