The lands at Broghill, Charleville, will go to auction through Richard Ryan of GVM and he’s quoting a pre-auction guide price of €8,000 per acre, a reasonable level considering the strong prices achieved this year.
The land is all one block, and it is a good roadside farm, he says, with fine grazing, including about nine acres of summer pasture. The location, just a mile from Charleville, also makes it very attractive.
* The same agent is selling a 34-acre holding at Garriencoona, Effin, which is also non-residential, but comes with a yard and old haybarn.
Laid out in five easily managed fields, this land is for sale by private treaty, with an overall guide price of €350,000. It is currently under offer, says Ryan, who’s open to further bids.
