Four Cork finalists vie for Club of Year

WITH four of the seven finalists, Co Cork must be odds-on to be celebrating after the AIB Club of the Year final at the annual conference and rally in Cork on the October bank holiday weekend.

Judges will see a multimedia presentation from the seven clubs — Mitchelstown and Freemount from Cork’s Avondhu region; Bantry from Cork’s Carbery region; Glanmire from Cork’s Seandun region; Mountmellick from Co Laois; Ferbane-Banagher from Co Offaly; and Moynalty from Co Meath.

Mitchelstown and Bantry are also contenders for the new best emerging club title, as well as the overall title.
