Judges will see a multimedia presentation from the seven clubs — Mitchelstown and Freemount from Cork’s Avondhu region; Bantry from Cork’s Carbery region; Glanmire from Cork’s Seandun region; Mountmellick from Co Laois; Ferbane-Banagher from Co Offaly; and Moynalty from Co Meath.

Mitchelstown and Bantry are also contenders for the new best emerging club title, as well as the overall title.

The AIB Club of the Year competition is designed to award the most dynamic and active clubs in the country.

Meanwhile, the Rally Committee in Seandun have been travelling all around Ireland to promote the big event, which will be headquartered at the Radisson Blue Hotel, Little Island.

Last week, committee members attended quizzes in Clare, Limerick, and Kilkenny, the Kerry Macra barn dance, and the GAA 7-a-side final in Offaly. They say thanks very much to all who gave them such a warm welcome, and welcome email enquiries for conference and rally information to info@seandunrally2011.com. There’s information on the www.macrarally2011.com website and facebook also.
