Beef production and marketing event at Fermoy next Wednesday

“IS there a profit? You decide”, is the presentation by John Horgan and James Fleming of Teagasc at next Wednesday’s beef production and marketing event in Corrin Mart, Fermoy, starting at 7pm.

Market requirements, specifications and outlook, will be addressed by Paul Nolan, Dawn Meats. A live cattle display will be used by James Fleming, Teagasc and Peter Quinn, Dawn Meats, in a presentation on finish, quality, potential, and value.

Feeding strategies for performance and grading will be the topic of Teagasc Beef Specialist Pearse Kelly, and Dr Doreen Corridan, Munster Herd Health, will speak on veterinary aspects such as respiratory illness and parasites, and IFA National Livestock Chairman Michael Doran will deliver an update on CAP reform proposals.
