Inventions begin at the Ploughing Match

MUNSTER farmers feature among the inventors in the re-launched Innovations Arena at the National Ploughing Championships.

Inventions begin at the Ploughing Match

Implements on display will include a quad fencer system devised by Corkman AJ O’Connor, and a pasture analyser created by Dan O’Loughlin, also of Co Cork.

The Ishkatrip water leak detector device made at the We Innovate Development Centre in Oola, Co Limerick, will also be on show, following its inventions win at the Tullamore Show.

The Innovations Arena will also offer information to potential inventors who have an idea and want to learn how to develop it commercially.

*If travelling to the Ploughing at Athy on September 20-22, you are encouraged to use public transport. Iarnrod Eireann trains to Athy, Portarlington and Kildare will be met by a Bus Éireann shuttle-bus service to the site (for a small charge).
