Seandun ready for an epic weekend

SEANDUN in Cork is preparing for the National Macra na Feirme Rally Conference, sponsored by Dairygold, which will be held in the Radisson Blue Hotel, Little Island, during the October Bank Holiday weekend.

Thousands of members from all over the country will gather on Leeside during the three day/night event which will feature fancy dress, banquets, tours and much more.

Seandun region has around 300 members aged from 17-35, and clubs are located in the following areas: Ballincollig, Carrignabhfear, Carrigaline, Glanmire, Glenville, Kinsale, Knockraha, Leeside, Nohoval, UCC and Whitechurch. (see a selection of their club photos, above)

The six key areas which Macra participate in are: sport, travel, public speaking, agriculture, performing arts and community involvement. Within these areas, members choose their own preferred activities.

The last 12 months have been busy for Seandun, with clubs in the region winning four national titles.

Anyone looking for a social outlet with a difference should consider joining a Macra club.
