Coastal west Cork holding boasts qood quality land and a couple of islands for that welcome retreat
This week sees the launch of a coastal holding at Lackahane, Baltimore with John Hodnett of Hodnett Forde, who is selling the land and an old, traditional farmhouse in two lots.
An added attraction is the planning permission for demolition of the existing dwelling and its replacement with a 2,000 square foot, two-storey house, in an area where planning permission to build is next to impossible for outsiders.

The property could prove to be the ultimate early retirement buy, or an occasional getaway property, for those with means.
The Lackahane holding is being offered in two lots or in the entire. Lot A is 33.77 acres, on the market at €150,000 upwards; lot B comprises the house and 4.23 acres, for sale at offers in the region of €150,000 to €200,000.
