Near complete clearance at IHFA bull show and sale

THERE was a near complete clearance at an average price of €3,208 for 37 bulls sold, from 43 on offer, at the 36th IHFA annual bull show and sale at Nenagh Livestock Mart last week.

The bulls were of superior health status and conformation, from dams yielding up to 15,234kg of milk.

Show judge David Boyd of the Glaslough herd awarded the championship to Laurelelm Jogger, owned by John and Ricky Barrett, Cork, and sold for €2,900. Reserve champion Crossnacole Goldman, owned by Victor Jackson, Wicklow, sold for €5,000.
