The auction today of the Gawsworth herd of prize-winning Holstein Friesians may see the last of milking cows at the Rockrohan estate — and no further disruptions on Cork city’s Carrigrohane Road, as they head across it for milking.

The home farm of Richard Wood of Rockrohan House, the land was the subject of the state’s longest running High Court case.
