A FARM for sale at Kilcolman, Kinsale, may be a good test of the new year market in this tillage farming area — especially after neighbouring land made strong prices in 2010.

In fact, three land sales in the Kinsale area, from mid-summer to autumn, raised the bar for Munster, which traditionally has bullish per acre prices.

This time round the property for sale is a holding of 17 acres at Kilcolman, on the Old Head route, described by selling agent Michael Galvin of DNG Galvin as ‘great tillage ground’. The land, all in one block, is about four miles south-west of Kinsale, says Galvin.
