THE highest ever Northern Ireland milk auction average price reflects the dairy products market ending the year strongly.

Last week’s United Dairy Farmers milk auction saw prices move up to 26.98 pence per litre, having increased 0.21ppl.

It was the highest since the auction started in 1995, even surpassing prices in the commodity boom year of 2007.
