Go-ahead for TippTown cattle mart
The council granted permission in March to Tipperary Cattle Mart Ltd for two sales rings and associated buildings at Ballinalard on the Emly Road.
This was appealed to An Bord Pleanála by Dan and Noreen Collins, Peter O’Grady and Christy and Eileen Ryan.
Meanwhile, planning approval has been granted for a bio-diesel plant near Thurles.
The approval was given to GRO Oil Limited by North Tipperary County Council for a bio-diesel production facility at Manselstown, Ballyduff.
Twelve storage tanks, a lab and administration building, a process building and other ancillary buildings are included.
The plant must operate with an integrated pollution control licence from the Environmental Protection Agency.
