Mealagh Valley holding good enough for tillage

IT’S high up in the Mealagh Valley, but this west Cork farm is good tillage ground, says selling agent John Hodnett of Hodnett Forde Auctioneers.

He says the 59-acre farm at Ardrah, Bantry is a highly productive unit, mostly in grass and part in stubble after winter wheat.

A neat package, it will suit an expanding local farmer, he says, and comes with €20,000 of farm payments.
