Tipp’s night of the long table

TIPPERARY’S Long Table Dinner next Wednesday will promote the county’s reputation for fine foods.

Tipp’s night of the long table

Only food sourced from more than 30 members of the Tipperary Food Producers business network will be served at the traditional feast. They include several winners at Britain’s recent 2010 Great Taste Awards — Cooleeney Farmhouse Cheese, J & L Grubb, Cashel Cheese, Oakpark Foods, Holycross Good Food; and The Scullery.

The Long Table.

The dinner will take place simultaneously at Broca on the Water, Ballinderry in Nenagh; in Thurles at the Inch House; in Cashel at ‘Chez Hans’; and in Clogheen at The Old Convent Restaurant.

Author and food critic John McKenna will give a talk on the importance of local produce at Chez Hans.
