Awards prove Irish farmers are among the best producers
They are the farmers who produce pork for the Truly Irish brand set up in 2005. Each of them is also a company shareholder. Their belief they are among the top pork producers in Britain and Ireland was boosted by two gold stars for both their maple cured rashers and beechwood smoked rashers, and one gold star for both their traditional back rashers and traditional black pudding.
Speaking from the company’s headquarters in Charleville, Co Cork, trading manager Seán Óg Duffy explained: “We’re delighted that the judges at the Guild of Fine Food recognised the outstanding quality of our product range”.
