‘The best farmland in the country’ goes up for sale

THE best farmland in the country is the emphatic statement made by Paddy Murray in regard to land for sale at Timoleague, Co Cork.

‘The best farmland in the country’ goes up for sale

The ERA agent is selling a 32-acre piece of land off the N71 at Carrig, Ballinascarthy, and expects keen interest.

He is joint agent with Ray O’Neill of Sherry FitzGerald O’Neill in the sale, which he expects to net at least €350,000, and it’s already under offer at €300,000.

All in one field and under a grain crop at the moment, the land has good road frontage, is free of waste and is exceptional quality, says Murray.

Located less than a mile from Ballinascarthy village, it includes an old farmyard with a fairly good quality slatted shed, which he says would be suitable for wintering upwards of 40 cattle.

“It’s the best of land and all in one field, it’s the best you can get and you could put anything on it,” says Paddy Murray.
