74 acres sure to tempt buyers’ appetites

LARGE blocks of land doesn’t come up too often in Co Kerry, and this block close to Killarney is sure to whet the appetite of buyers.

74 acres sure to tempt buyers’ appetites

There has been considerable interest already in this 74-acre holding at Knocknamon, Milltown, about seven miles from Killarney.

In pasture and currently used for sheep, it is good grazing land, says Ted Healy of DNG Healy, who has a guide price of about €1 million on the property.

In four fields, the farm is divided by a public road and has plenty of frontage as a consequence. It’s also bounded by a stream, and includes a large shed and two derelict houses at one end.

Because this is Milltown, a popular area for one-off houses, there could be the prospect of a house site or two on the land, which could help defray the acquisition costs. Either way, the size and neatness of the holding and its proximity to Milltown and Killarney will attract buyers.

There is a bid at the moment, says Healy, but he expects this to rise in the coming weeks. The Knocknamon property, just off the Killarney to Dingle road, is for sale by private treaty.
