Irish bloodlines impress judges

CATTLE bred from Irish bloodlines impressed the judge at the inaugural herds’ competition run by the Munster Aberdeen Angus Club.

Irish Aberdeen Angus Society president Robert Steenson selected cattle from Cork and Kerry for the top three awards.

Details: Small herd less than nine cows and in calf heifers — 1, Sheila O’Brien, Ballyvourney; 2, Tony Jennings, Leap; 3 Tom Dineen, Kinsale, Cork. Young stock person special commendation — Brian O’Halloran, Bandon.
