Secret buyer for €2.3m farm

FRESH from one of the biggest sales of the year at Killavullen, north Cork, auctioneer Dan Fleming is selling a smaller, but no less well-appointed property at Carrignavar.

The agent says the contracts are finalised on the €2.3 million sale of John and Charlotte Nagle’s farm to a young Whitechurch, Co Cork, farmer.

While rumours suggest it’s the Hegarty family, who have family ties with the north Cork area, the agent was tight-lipped on the buyer’s identity.
