Curranure good long-term investment in ‘bankable’ residential area

IT could be seen as a very clever buy, when you consider that this property has five acres in a location beside Innishannon in Co Cork.

Curranure good long-term investment in ‘bankable’ residential area

Curranure, Innishannon, is a good long-term investment within commuting distance of Cork city in a “bankable” residential area.

Ernest Forde of SWS Property Services and Paddy Murray of ERA Paddy Murray are open to offers in excess of €450,000 for the farmhouse, modern yard of 9,000 square feet, and five acres.

The house is a stone-built, traditional farmhouse in good nick, says Forde, but will perhaps need to be modernised.

New owners will probably stick a new extension on, which would bring the three-bed to a four-bed. And down the line there could be building site potential on the land, which is all in one field to the front of the house.

Approached by a long drive, (stick some lime trees in and it could be very posh in 10 years time), and just minutes from Innishannon, the house offers an accessible getaway location for those looking for a spot close to Cork city.

Bandon is just down the road, with Kinsale in the opposite direction, and the sea is a mere 15 minute drive.

The yard offers 9,000 square feet of covered area and the land, which is ploughed at present, will be reseeded ready for new owners.
