Prime 70-acre tillage farm

A PRIME piece of tillage and grazing ground hits the market this week with auctioneer Christy Buckley.

Prime 70-acre tillage farm

The 70-acre, non-residential farm is located at Ruanes, Mallow, Co Cork and is on the market at a guide price of €1.4 million.

With road frontage on three sides, it has been used for drystock, and some of it is under cereals.

One field is fairly level and well-sheltered.

The property comes with two three-column sheds in good condition, one of which is enclosed.

One four-acre lot has planning permission for a dwelling, albeit restricted, and there’s a second, one-acre site on the land, also with planning permission.

It’s ideally situated, less than four miles from Mallow, close to the Cork racecourse.

It’s for sale by private treaty, and at the guide price of €20,000 per acre, it’s good value, the agent says.

nMeanwhile, the sale of a substantial farm at Roosca, Co Tipperary is nearing completion with the same agent.

It’s believed the farm has been negotiated to close to €2.5m, following a public auction in April last.

The guide price then was €3m.

A drystock and tillage farm near Cahir, the property is bounded by the Thonoge river and includes planning permission for a two-storey dwelling and renovated stone outbuildings.
