ONE of the best dairy farms in the country, according to auctioneer, Paddy Jordan, failed to sell at auction last week and was withdrawn at €3.73 million, a shave under the guide price of €4m.

The 250-acre, 154,000 gallon dairy farm is now under negotiation and because of the quality of the property, Paddy Jordan, expects a private treaty sale at, or near, the guide price. Clonlack House, near Rhode, Co Offaly, includes two residences, extensive farm buildings and 37.5 acres of forestry.
