Good facilities key to keeping staff

FARMERS have been told that labour retention and efficiency is related to the quality of facilities on their holdings.

Professor Gerry Boyle, director of Teagasc, said staff and younger farmers require good working conditions if they are going to stay in farming and they will benchmark their time and working conditions against other professions and occupations.
